Is This What Finally Needs To Be Done? Israel must declare its sovereignty west of The Jordan River

Is This What Finally Needs To Be Done?
Israel must declare its sovereignty west of The Jordan River

Yisrael Shleima

Bibi Netanyahu's speech yesterday at the UN was highly and appropriately critical of the UN and the Palestinian Authority and its terrorist, convicted criminal and fugitive from Justice Arab PA leader, Mahmoud Abbas aka Abu Mazen. Yet, Bibi also put forth the offer of dialogue and co-existence. Abbas' speech, however, was full of calumnies, libels and denigration's. His threat to sue Britain for the Balfour Declaration is comical and shows his absolute bitterness and hatred toward Israel, Jews and any entity that supports them, even from 100 years ago!

The conflict between Israel and the "Palestinians" is really a much larger one, between Israel and the Arab and Muslim world. In essence it can be viewed as a religious battle and a war of civilizations.

After 2,000 years of exile, the Jews have returned home to Israel. The connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel cannot be denied, yet this is what the Muslim world continues to do. Yes, Israel has peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, and yes, there is growing trade between Israel and Arab and Muslim nations. However, in their hearts, many or most Arabs and Muslims despise Israel and pray every day for its demise.

Thus, the question: What should Israel do regarding the Arabs living in Judea and Samaria, the heartland of Israel and the cradle of Jewish civilization? There have been numerous suggestions put forth, none gaining much traction. Martin Sherman's article in Arutz Sheva addresses this issue. He reaches the conclusion and proposes a solution that has been discussed and argued about for decades, yet tossed aside as unworkable. However, it may be the most practical.

Sherman posits:
- Israel cannot continue to rule over a growing and increasingly hostile and radicalized Palestinian Arab population which indoctrinate and commits terror and violence.

- Neither can it, nor should it, allow the establishment of yet another Muslim-majority tyranny. (a terrorist state)

- Nor can it integrate the Arab population who commits terror and violence in Judea-Samaria (and Gaza) into the permanent population of the Jewish state.
Please read the article (linked here), including the last paragraph which contains Sherman's conclusion.

For those who can't stand the suspense, here is the last paragraph:
Accordingly, the only  non-coercive policy that can preserve Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, and remove the Palestinian-Arabs from Jewish rule,  is to set up a system of economic inducements, entailing enticing incentives for them to leave, together with daunting disincentives to stay, and provide non-belligerents and their families an opportunity for a better life elsewhere out of harm's way. That is the only feasible way to end the "Occupation" by the Arabs and resettle them on the 120,000 sq. km of land the Arab countries confiscated from the terrorized and expelled Jewish families who now were resettled in Israel and comprise over half the population.

For those who like to see how to, here is the paragraph:
